The last block of the year is coming to an end, which means it’s time for my favorite holiday! I am ending my obstetric & gynecology rotation so I’ve been mostly in scrubs (and will continue to be in scrubs for the next 3 months during surgery). Now that break is coming, I’m looking forward to wearing some normal, non-hospital clothing. Below is an outfit that I’ll be wearing to some of family and friend get-togethers.
There’s been a huge velvet craze this winter and I can see why! The texture really catches the eye and the heaviness of the material drapes nicely. I love that this dress has a higher neckline in the front and then a plunging back because it makes it so versatile. I chose a more casual look with some sheer black stockings and booties, but it can definitely be dressed up with a nice pair of pointy heels for date night or girl’s night. I kept the accessories simple with a few rings and a long necklace to contrast the neckline. Simple and easy, so that the focus is on the dress.
