Hey everyone! I’m back with a review of these scrubs, which were generously gifted to me by Scrub Shopper. I got a chance to try out a set from their Urbane Collection, and will be posting my impression below. They were also kind enough to gift a pair to one of my readers! Check out Instagram for details on the giveaway, which includes a set from the Urbane Collection as well as some of my favorite pens (reviewed here). Thanks for reading!
I was tempted to choose black for the color but decided to step out of my comfort zone with…navy. Ha! When I opened the package I was excited to see the white lining! The contrast definitely adds a nice touch and makes it look less boring.
In terms of fit, I’m usually a size 0 in stores so I opted for the XS in both the top and bottom. Now that I’ve tried them on, I wish I had gotten the XXS in the bottoms. The XS still fit pretty well but there is definitely more material when I tighten it around my waist. No worries though, because I like to wear thick leggings underneath since the OR is always freezing, so the XS will work out perfectly! If you’re a size 25-26 in the waist, I recommend the XXS over XS. For length, I’m about 5’8” and got the taller length; regular length would have been fine. My main concern was having the edges of the pants get caught in my sneakers when I walk around. These scrubs are definitely long enough without having to worry. To anyone on the petite side, they also offer XXS Petite.
The contrast stripe on the top is very flattering and makes for a nice neckline. I usually don’t bother with jewelry in the hospital but I think it draws attention nicely to my favorite necklace! It also breaks up the monotony on the scrubs so they don’t look like over-sized pajamas (like the ones in the hospital tend to do).
But my favorite part about the top would be the pockets. Not only do they have two in the front, the pocket on the right also has a pseudo-pocket where you can secure your pens! A minor but very well thought out detail. I always have at least 4 pens on me plus a penlight and they’re always loose in my pocket or falling out when I lean over. With the inside tab they feel much more secure! But if you’re someone who likes to tuck in your scrub top, the pockets aren’t so bulky or rigid that you feel uncomfortable tying the bottoms over them.
Overall, I’m pleasantly surprised by these scrubs and will definitely be wearing them on my clinical rotations when I get the chance! Bonus: they are comfortable enough to wear them as pajamas around the house. Definitely easier to slip on a pair of these instead of real clothing for a day of studying (or for taking silly photos with the book you’re supposed to be studying from…)
