I wasn’t sure what to expect with the “trouser scrub pant” because the combination just sounded too good to be true. But wow, I was blown away! The pin tuck in the front does a nice job of streamlining the look down to the cuffed ankle. I was also surprised by the hook-and-bar closure and the zip-fly, two things I was not expecting from scrubs. Despite those, the waistband is still comfortable thanks to its elastic. The material is also sooo comfortable – soft yet still thick so that it maintains it’s shape. If you’ve had their regular scrubs before, these are a bit more comfortable because of their thickness.
For reference, I am about 5’7″ and ordered an XXS.
The first outfit below is typical of something I would wear on my rotations. A simple shirt paired with the trouser scrubs and my white coat. These bottoms look so professional that really, any top will do. As a bonus, there’s a small front pocket that can fit credit cards – perfect since I never like to carry my full wallet on me in the hospital.
The second outfit is something I would wear as a transitional outfit, one of those “day-to-night” looks. By swapping out the flats with a pair of heels and swiping on some lipstick and bronzer, it becomes an outfit you can rock at happy hour. The length hits me right at the ankle, allowing you to show off whatever shoe you’re rocking. Pairing a pointed heel with the pin tuck really draws the eyes down the leg and gives the illusion of a longer silhouette!
I also chose to wear it with the Short Sleeve Underscrub top , also gifted to me. It’s the softest tee that I’ve been wearing everywhere! It’s so lightweight and drapes nicely, without me having to worry about it being too sheer.
I can’t believe how comfortable and flattering these bottoms are, it’s hard to believe they’re scrubs! I used to wear the starchy, uncomfortable, flared bottoms (circa 2011) – thank goodness for these Satara pants. These are perfect for rotations, shadowing in the hospital, and even the workplace. Comfy and chic! I only wish I had them during my clerkships this past year.
