This week is all beauty-related, include my attempt at the YSL Tatouage Couture swatches 😉
1. YSL Tatouage Couture Liquid Matte Lip Stain
I’m not a beauty blogger by any means but I am most definitely a lipstick junkie. It’s quick and easy way to brighten up your face, and the options are endless! I’m a huge fan of matte/liquid lipsticks but once third year began, I realized I needed something more natural that would still bring color to my face. I attempted using regular lipsticks but their staying power was so little that most days I ended up not wearing anything at all. That is, until I tried out this lip stain. They’re the perfect combination of feeling lightweight but with enough color payoff that my lips still have something on them at the end of the day. Since it’s a stain, they wear off evenly so that I don’t have to worry about touching up throughout the day. The best part is that I barely feel anything when I have them on.
#7 is a lighter nude that leans pink. Really flattering for every day wear!
#5 is definitely more brighter pink with purple undertones. Not sure I would wear this to the hospital but it’s perfect for going out!
#8 is a deep red with cooler undertones. By being a stain, it lessens the harshness of the red and leaves a lovely red tint after a few hours!
Definitely on the pricier side but I haven’t been able to find any comparable dupes! Not a bad idea as a stocking stuffer, I know I’m definitely wishing for more!
Hands down, the best color for this fall! I’m always looking for a deep orange that doesn’t wash me out, and this one is it. It’s the perfect brick red/orange without being too vampy. Butter London lip products are so underrated, in my unofficial non-beauty-blogger opinion, and I especially love the Plush Rush line! This lip liner is no different. It’s a tiny bit drying by itself, as all lip liners are, but the color payoff is incredible and soooo flattering.
I get horribly chapped lips in the winter time, and I have 3 holy grail items for winter:
3. Burt’s Bee’s Lip Balm
This is my everyday go-to item for chapped lips. It leaves minimal residue and doesn’t make my lips too slippery for a lipstick, which is key when you love beauty products as much as I do. I always have one on me!
4. Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask in Smashed
This item reminds me of Vaseline but way more flattering and easier to work with. I was a little bit hesitant at first but I’ve grown to love it. It’s a little thicker than Vaseline and does an amazing job keeping my lips hydrated. It’s really flattering in the color Smashed, especially for winter when you can’t be bothered with lipsticks but still want a little tint of color. I like to wear it at night when I’m home, similar to a lip mask.
5. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Lip Therapy
This tiny tube does exactly what it says: repairs. I reserve it for those days when my lips are burning and so chapped that not even Burt’s Bee’s can help it. In a matter of few hours, my lips feel like they’re back to normal. Whereas the lip mask from Bite Beauty is more for hydration, this is definitely more of a treatment. Highly, highly recommend.
Whew, that was a long one! My first time trying out swatches and more beauty-related things. Hope you enjoyed!
