I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to wear this eyelet top, and what better place than at the beach?
My collection of white off-the-shoulder tops seems never ending. I told myself I wouldn’t get anymore but then I saw this top. I’ve been wanting an eyelet piece for a while and this seemed like the perfect top for summer. To my surprise, the entire top is sheer without any type of built-in bra. It’s been sitting there in my closet, along with my other just-in-case-an-appropriate-event-presents-itself pieces of clothing.
My boyfriend suggested a day trip to the beach and I decided it was finally time to wear this eyelet top. I wore it with a pinky nude H&M bikini top in an effort to get as close to my skin tone as possible. The combo worked out perfectly, as I am currently so pale that the bikini top makes me look nude from afar…
My espadrilles are from Soludos and are sooooo comfortable. I’ve recently become obsessed with the espadrilles since they add such a relaxed, summer vibe to any outfit. Plus, the elephants were too cute to resist! Definitely keeping an eye out for another possible sale (I got mine from the ShopBop sale).
Once we were arrived at Asbury Park I realized there was a Coney Waffle on the boardwalk!! I had been seeing photos of their crazy milkshake/ice cream concoctions and wanted to try their famous Side Show Shake. My boyfriend didn’t want to share so I opted for a cone instead. However, I would be down to try it with someone in the future 😉
Cotton candy on top of two scoops? Ice cream cone of my dreams!
The rest of the day was spent walking on the boardwalk at Asbury Park. Thanks to a friendly beachgoer, we found some pretty cool murals to photograph.
